Hidden Treasures!

Hello fellow undercover ninjas!

My notebook of drawings from last year is long gone! I looked high and low everywhere, but do not worry! Perseverance is always the key to SUCCESS and one day I will find it! (hopefully) But in the mean time I did find something cool while searching! Back in my 1st and 2nd year of college I use to volunteer for Think Together once a week at an elementary school and Fridays were called Fun Fridays! That's when I get to help theses youngsters with some fun activities like painting, "cooking", or playing board games with them.

These are some lovely artworks that two of my students painted for me. Aren't they so cool! :D

This one is by Sasha and she loves ice cream! If I remembered correctly, I think she was a 4th grader at the time.

And this one is by Aimee. She was a 3rd grader. (They called me Miss J)

I'm glad that I got to be part of this program. It was such a wonderful experience and I know I learned a lot that would help me later when I get into the teaching world! :D

Well, until next time... *wwwwwshhhhhhhhHHH pew pew BAM*

Alpha 5: Danger! Danger! It's the big one! I know it! We'll all be destroyed!
Zordon: Calm down, Alpha. It's Rita, and she's attacking the planet.
Alpha 5: Aye, yai, yai! What should we do?!
Zordon: Teleport to us five overbearing and over-emotional humans.
Alpha 5: No, not that! Not... teenagers!
Zordon: That is correct, Alpha.
Alpha 5: I was afraid of that.

P is for Patterns and H is for Hunger...

I'm very bad at studying...

and I am hungry...

but here are some patterns I made a year ago when I was learning Illustrator of...

1. octopuses

2. friendly monsters

3. hexagons with killer smiles :D

4.Go on..zoom in! :) It's actually a pattern of a chopped up night scene! (But WAIT! Not too close...there's some imperfections.)

I think half of them were for my summer class project (Studio Art 65A) and the others were for fun.

Oh! Did I ever mention that these patterns tessellates too?

Peace out yo! :D

Summer School: A Day in the Science Library (Part I)

Close up...

Oh my. This took 15 hours more than I thought it would take. This class was honestly challenging for me. It was my first drawing class I have taken and maybe the last. (I'm not sure it I want to take the Intermediate level.)But it was actually a good thing that I took this class because I feel like I improved a lot better compared to when I first day.

Looking at my work at a distance...doesn't the gameboy looks like its melting or glumping down? :D (yikes!)

back to studing for finals week.
2 more finals to go and 1 final paper.

i want nobody, nobody BUT YOU!

Hey cool kids!

I think it was about two weeks ago...but I made a "banner" for my Circle K's Talent Show that I wanted to post. We had our very own members do bunch of cool Korean dance routine, so I wanted to still have that K-Pop flow to it.

Q:So what's the best K-Pop crew out there?

a)SNSD
b)Super Junior
c)2pm
d)Big Bang
e)Shinee

A: SUPER JUNIORS of course!!!

But does anyone heard of Wonder Girls and I think their hit song is called "Nobody."

Let me refresh your memory... (or give you memory)

~~~~~~~ (sending waves of memory cells)
[This is where I start snatching other people's facebook photos. Thanks Virginia, Tommy and Kat (even though I don't think they visit my blog) :D ]
I like the idea of having an interactive banner (one where people can have fun with). I think I took me a good 8 hours to finish. (I'm a very slow worker and it takes me awhile to make up my mind on matters) So here it is....
That's me to the right.
MORE BANNER IN ACTIONS PICTURES:
Good night all! :)
Yipeee!
Hello. :D
I'm back for some Grooovin' Thursdays! This is a song I heard from a year or two ago and it's WONDERFUL! And the music video is a very lovely addition. So playful and colorful...and did I ever mention an Edward? Not the Twillight Edward, but even better! Edward Scissorhand look alike! And it just not stop there.
[drum rolls please]
*brum brum broooom*
Laura Maurling is the guest singer....and her voice is "A" mazing!
Now doesn't this just brighten up your day? :)
lets BOOGIE!
Good Morning!
Yes! It's that time again.... GROOOVIN' THURSDAYS! I haven't been updating this thing in a long while so for this lovely morning I decided to share a lovely song by The Fratellis.
edit:
Things to look forward to:
My upcoming post is on my Marcel Duchamp project for my Studio Art 1B class. Duchamp is a contemporary artist famous for entering his urinal (that's right! a urinal) into an art competition. This urinal supposedly came to question the very definition of art. That's one powerful urinal!
I'm not really a big fan of contemporary art, but this project seems like a lot of fun to do.
Toodles for now.
Its math homework time. :)
Remember kids, the Quail-call is NOT a toy!
This week I bought a pair of canvas shoes and it was the color of a bright new tennis ball.
But something was missing. We can't just leave a pair of plain canvas shoe a pair of plain canvas shoe.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So here is the gameplan...
THE GAMEPLAN:
1. An evil bandit rabbit villan with a super cool mustache
2. Nana nana nana na ....Batman!
3. The indestructible Superman
4. Quailman (Doug was such a great show! Kids these days do not know what they were missing.)
5. And of course no super hero team is complete without CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS
THE RESULTS:
Now time to find a shoe spray protector. :)
grooovin' THURSDAYS (the first edition)
I wanted to share my all time favorite song. (It gets cut off in the end. I couldn't find a better video.) Enjoy!
One of those happy songs. :)
A Very Casual "What I Wore Today" (MONDAY) Edition
Hello Joe and Jane :)
I failed to post my "What I Wore Today" doodle on Monday...and so two days later I have found success! I found this really cool site a while ago by illustrators that does a spin on fashion blogs and post illustrations of what they wore instead of photos. I wanted to do one too...but not exactly.
This is my "What I Wore Today" (but actually Monday) doodle remixed with what I would look like if suddenly there was a sudden outbreak of a zombie disease and I was just chased, tackled, and bitten by the Orlando Bloom zombie.
Monday, March 22, 2010
Dear Future Car,
Why are you so beautiful?
See you sometime in the future. Goodbye for now. :)
The Self Portrait Project
For my Studio Art 1A class we had to make a self portrait using the term "drawing." I wanted to do something that was playful... and what's cooler than a making a connect the dots of your very own lovely face! :)
THE PROCESS:
1. Made a quick sketch of myself
2. Upload it to Adobe Illustrator and DOTS AWAY! It actually took me a good four or five hours to do since I am still trying out this super cool program. I wanted to put the least amount of dots possible but meanwhile making my face still recognizable when it gets connected.
THE FINISH PRODUCT:
THE PRINTED VERSION:
Do you have some free time at this very moment and you do not know what exactly to do? Well then... I have good news for YOU all! YOU can have your very own copy of JEM's Connect the Dots!
Instructions:
1. print out page
2. follow the instructions on the picture
THE FINAL PROJECT
Our final project for my Studio Art 1A class was to do another self portrait... but WAIT! It has to be in the style of an artist we had studied. I took the easy way out and did my work in the style of Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe. I recycled my old work and added bits and BAMs of bright color... but then , sadly, it was still missing something. What about pink mustaches? :D
edit:
One day I got a facebook message from Jayjay.
This was made by Jayjay with color pencils.
It made my day. :)
The Introductions
Hello cool kids! (or cool kid, or more like hello me. I guess I am my only viewer for now, but it's all good, right?) :D
I have been meaning to make a blog for a long while. I need a place to place my thoughts. And so here goes it...MY VERY FIRST ENTRY! waaaLAAA!
